Board of Director Election Results

Kelowna, B.C. – Beem Credit Union is pleased to announce the election of two distinguished professionals, Karri Brinnen and Daniel Drexler, to its Board of Directors.

Karri Brinnen

Elected to the Board of Directors of Interior Savings in 2022, Karri joined the merged Board of Directors of Beem Credit Union in January 2024. She currently chairs the Community Council Board Committee, connecting members and their communities with the Credit Union’s key strategic initiatives. Karri is the owner of Canine Heroes Kennel and has a rich background in governance, having served as the Senior Governance Coordinator at Interior Savings Credit Union from 2012-2019. Recognized for her strategic thinking, leadership, and financial acumen, Karri is committed to continuous education and community involvement.

Daniel Drexler

Daniel Drexler brings over two decades of experience in leadership, technology, information security, and governance. He has been dedicated to the rural communities of the Southern Interior and Central regions of British Columbia. Currently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer for the District of Barriere, Daniel manages strategic initiatives, multimillion-dollar budgets, and diverse teams to enhance community growth and sustainability. With a decade of governance experience in the credit union system, Daniel has served as a board member for GFCU, Gulf & Fraser, and as a founding board member of Beem Credit Union. Daniel currently chairs Beem’s Foundation Committee. Daniel’s professional career began in the technology sector, where he operated his own consulting business for over a decade.

Director Election Results

In alignment with Rule 11.10 of Beem Credit Union’s Rules, the following results from the 2025 Director Election were compiled and verified by Panalytics, a trusted scrutineer, to ensure a fair and transparent process:

• Karri Brinnen – 836 votes

• Daniel Drexler – 537 votes

• John Parker – 361 votes

• Reg Foot – 326 votes

• Anil Singh – 234 votes

• Anita Dalakoti – 233 votes

• Francesca Zumpano – 209 votes

• Karl Neff – 100 votes

Election Committee Chair Linda Archer made the announcement at Beem’s inaugural annual general meeting. “We were very pleased to see a significant interest in becoming a Beem Director. Each candidate demonstrated a strong commitment to our organization,” said Archer.

Successful Director election results were released at the AGM on April 15. Almost 400 attendees participated in the innovative event that included an in-person gathering in Kelowna, in-branch streaming events across B.C., and an option to attend online.
