Beem Credit Union Completes Landmark Digital Transformation
Kelowna, BC – In a move to reshape the digital experience for its members, Beem Credit Union completed a triple-platform transformation to launch a new core banking system, digital banking platform, and a new interactive website for members across British Columbia.
The technical feat represents a milestone in Beem’s journey to deliver a secure and fully owned member experience built for long-term adaptability and innovation.
“This is about creating the kind of experience our members deserve—simple, secure, and designed to evolve with how our members’ financial needs grow and change,” said Brian Harris, President and CEO of Beem. “It was an ambitious mission for Beem; but a critical step for community banking and the forward-thinking services our members will demand.”
Over the weekend of June 20–22, Beem successfully:
- Transitioned all members Gulf & Fraser, Interior Savings Credit Union and North Peace Savings Credit Union into a single banking system
- Launched a new digital banking platform (mobile + online)
- Rolled out a redesigned and unified website at beemcreditunion.ca
This marks a new era for credit unions. Beem takes full control of its digital platforms and can now respond more rapidly to member needs through ongoing development, platform stability, and security enhancements. The launch involved coordination with hundreds of team members, vendors, and technology partners, culminating in a carefully orchestrated migration weekend after 18 months of planning and readiness testing.
“To our employees, members and partners—thank you,” added Harris. “Even when it goes right there are things that will go wrong. This is a big change. We know that has an impact and appreciate the patience required here. What we’ve just done is transformational and is only possible because of what we built together. This is just the beginning.”
With its digital platforms now unified under one brand and one digital experience, Beem is poised to deliver faster updates, personalized tools, and a new era of co-operative banking built around financial wellness for all.
