As President of BlueShore Financial Division, Ian is responsible for the operations and performance of the division, as well as ensuring a smooth integration process with Beem Credit Union over the next 18 months, and providing a seamless experience for members and employees. As a member of the Beem Executive Team, Ian is also collaborating to set and execute the strategic priorities for Beem.

Ian is a values-driven and people-centric executive with a proven track record of delivering solid financial results, setting strategic direction, developing empowered teams, and providing a differentiated client experience. With more than two decades of leadership experience, Ian has deep expertise in strategy development, risk management, retail and business banking, wealth management, and commercial lending.

A champion of the Canadian credit union system, Ian serves on the Board of the Credit Union Central of Canada (CUCC). Recently, he was President & CEO of BlueShore Financial Credit Union in BC and, previously, CEO of Kindred Credit Union in Ontario. Before that, he held several executive roles at Coast Capital Savings, including Chief Risk Officer, Vice-President of Retail and Wealth, and Chief Member Experience Officer. Ian also brings extensive risk advisory experience from his tenure at Deloitte.

Ian holds an MBA (Honours) from the University of Calgary and a BA in Communications and Business from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, he has earned an Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D) and a Diploma of Strategy and Innovation from MIT.
