Our story is one of British Columbians coming together to make our lives brighter. It’s in our roots and will always be in our future.
Humble beginnings
It began with people helping people. In the Okanagan, a small group pooled their hard-earned savings to create a credit union that would keep their money local. While in the Lower Mainland, a group of fishers were doing the same, bringing their money together to achieve their dreams of business ownership.
These values still guide us today as we’re there for British Columbians on their journeys, every step of the way.

By 2025, we’ll launch two community impact councils that ensure members have a voice in our future. These councils will guide our $8.95 million, five-year commitment to strengthening communities and creating opportunities. As we grow, we remain true to the principle that has guided us from the day our founders first pooled their savings.
